The target area of the project includes a surface of approx. 105.000 Km2 and is based on an eco-regional approach (DMEER codes 12 and 42). It comprises four countries (Spain, France, Portugal and Andorra) and eight regions in Spain (Galicia, Asturias, Castilla y León, Cantabria, País Vasco, Navarra, Aragón y Cataluña), two in Portugal (Norte y Centro), three in France (Aquitaine, Midi-Pyrennees, Languedoc-Roussillon) and Principality of Andorra .
In this first part of the project the scope area will be focussed on the Spanish territory of Cantabrian territory and Pyrenees.
